Client focus: How we work with Alsford Timber
Options is now being used exclusively by Alsford to source staff for its fast-growing business
At Options Resourcing, we are passionate about developing long-term relationships with our clients. These relationships are based on trust, ensuring the clients know we will put the work in to ensure they get the right candidates, time after time.
One of our key long-term clients is Dorset-based Wessex Group, a collective of specialist companies that provide design, installation and maintenance services covering all mechanical and electrical systems. Options has worked with Wessex group for 13 years and worked to be one of their first port of calls for labour requirements.
We spoke to Wessex Group director Alistair Morgan about his experience of working with Options. He lavished praise on our director Paul Ingram in our Southampton office, who has worked closely with the firm for many years... "a good guy to do business with".
"We have used Options extensively for temporary labour for various construction sites and also for solar park developments," said Mr Morgan.
"We are looking for availability, quality and value for money of all labour sent to us and Paul's work ticks all those boxes. And Paul himself is one of the key elements as to why we use Options. I have always found him to be honourable, of high integrity and a good guy to do business with."
It is the quality of the management of the relationship between Paul and Mr Morgan that is crucial for the long term. Some recruitment agencies may not make the same efforts as Options to vet each individual candidate properly, or maintain proper records of which candidates suit which client the best.
"We work with Wessex Group on a very consultative and partnering basis, the way we like to work with clients," Paul explains.
"They talk to us about their projects, the future of their business, and our relationship is honest. We understand their pressures, they understand ours, and we like to talk about those pinch points to ensure we come out with the right outcome."
In the end, it is all about developing trust that is the key to our success and helps us to stand out from the competition.
For example, we prefer to tell a potential client the truth on the odd occasion we cannot source the absolutely right person for the job. We would rather send nobody, than send the wrong person.
"It's all about building up that trust, not taking any chances with the labour we supply," adds Paul. "It means the client trusts our honesty and will come back to us to see if we can help in future."
Mr Morgan adds he would "certainly recommend" Paul and the team at Options for the work they have done with Wessex Group... and we look forward to continue working with them well into the future.
