An excellent opportunity for a CAD Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Smethwick.

Due to continued business growth, my client is looking for a CAD Engineer to join their team.

Benefits:
– Hours of work: Monday to Thursday – 06:40am – 16:45pm.
– 38.5 hour working week
– Location: Smethwick
– Salary: £35,000
– Holidays: 26 + 8 bank holidays
– Permanent role

Duties:
– Create 3D Cad drawings of new and existing parts using Inventor.
– Create 2D engineering / manufacturing drawings from 3D Cad models using AutoCAD.
– Manage the processing of 3D printed prototypes using in-house machines, revising designs based on model testing.
– Consulting with Machining. Welding and Assembly Line departments.
– Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes in conjunction with the Technical Manager.
– Create and keep service manuals up to date.
– Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings to put into the vault.
– Create patent application drawings

Skills/Experience required:
– A minimum of 3 years relevant experience. (Preferably from an engineering / Automotive background)
– Ability to use own initiative
– Flexible attitude to work
– Good attention to detail
