Design Manager – PBSA / High-Rise Projects

Location: Bristol (across 2 sites)
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 + Benefits

Our client, a respected Tier 1 contractor, is recruiting a Design Manager to lead design delivery across two high-rise PBSA schemes in Bristol. Each project involves complex concrete frame construction with stringent post-Building Safety Act requirements. The successful candidate will have two Assistant Design Managers reporting in and play a pivotal role in the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of these schemes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage design across two live PBSA sites.
Lead design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetings.
Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act requirements.
Manage two Assistant Design Managers, providing leadership and mentoring.
Drive technical assurance, programme alignment, and buildability.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and statutory bodies.
