Role Overview

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be a key member of the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing competitive and accurate mechanical estimates. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, passionate about securing new work, and confident in client-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates across a variety of sectors and project types
Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to identify risks and opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams including design, procurement, and delivery to ensure robust bids
Attend client meetings, site visits, and tender interviews to represent the business professionally
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Contribute to bid strategy and value engineering proposals
Keep up to date with market trends, costs, and innovations in mechanical systems

Candidate Profile

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within a contractor or consultancy setting
Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems in building services and infrastructure
Enthusiastic, proactive, and commercially focused with a passion for winning work
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a natural ability to engage clients
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
