Job TitlePipe Fitter

Reporting line: Lead Welder/Site Supervisor

Objectives: The Pipe Fitter will ensure product is delivered in line with the documented procedures.

Outline key responsibilities:
*Work from detailed engineering drawings
*Fabricate jobs to a very high standard ready for the welders
*Work from detailed engineering drawings
*Install, assemble & fabricate mechanical piping systems
*Adhere to relevant installation & quality procedures
*Assist with quality records and documentation
*Maintain equipment and small tools for assembly / installation / calibration

Detailed QHSE responsibilities:
*Never undertake work without first ensuring that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner.
*Be suitably familiar with the contents of this Risk Assessment and Method Statements and Permit to Work
*Attend any HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested.
*Attend, participate in and periodically lead Toolbox Talks.
*Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully checked and are compliant with HSE requirements.
*Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits.
*Carry out periodic HSE inspections in the area.
*Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported

Qualifications
*Time served / apprenticeship trained
*CITB Operatives Test (essential)
*Level 3 Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems (desirable)
*City & Guilds Medium Confined Space Level 2 (desirable)
*IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
*NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (desirable)
*MEWP Licence (desirable)

Technical Skills
*Fundamental understanding EN ISO/ASME piping standards
*Experienced in the installation and assembly of piping systems
*Experienced in cutting, prepping, threading & bending pipe
*Be time served / apprentice trained
*Experience in fabrication of Stainless-steel equipment
*Read and understand detailed CAD drawings
*Used to working in a production and engineering environment
*Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations

Pay rate

In line with the CESA pay agreement on HPC including basic rate, overtime, pension, 22 days holiday, project bonus, travel or lodge allowance
