Quantity Surveyor

Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering and experience with a main contractor or RC frame projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic and thriving construction and civil engineering company.
Split: 70% on-site, 30% office, with occasional remote work
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for civil engineering projects.
– Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and material measurements.
– Prepare tender documents and participate in the tendering process.
– Assess and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
– Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with budget and contractual obligations.
– Collaborate closely with the project team to maintain smooth communication and effective cost management.
– Handle variations and change orders, keeping accurate records and cost reports.
– Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
– Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Proven experience in civil engineering projects with a main contractor or RC frame work.
– Sound knowledge of contract administration and relevant industry standards.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
– Strong communication and negotiation abilities to foster effective stakeholder relationships.
– Proficient in using industry-specific software for quantity surveying tasks.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
