Are you an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on major construction projects? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading tier one contractor, taking full commercial ownership of high-value schemes across the Bristol region.
With a strong reputation for delivering complex, large-scale projects, this organisation continues to secure flagship developments and is seeking a commercially astute professional to lead from pre-construction through to successful delivery.
The Opportunity
You will act as the commercial lead on projects valued up to £100 million, across a diverse portfolio including:
Education
High-rise residential
Student accommodation
Defence
This is a key leadership role where you will manage and mentor the commercial team while driving project performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial aspects from pre-construction through to final account
Manage and develop the site-based commercial team
Oversee cost planning, procurement, and contract management
Ensure financial control, forecasting, and reporting accuracy
Maximise project value while managing risk and compliance
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
Strong track record on medium to large-scale construction projects
Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant qualifications and professional accreditations (preferred)
