Shift Engineer – Electrical Bias

£50,000 + Continental Shifts (Days & Nights 6-6, 4on4off)
We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join a leading M&E service provider on a prestigious critical site in Canary Wharf. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a great opportunity to work on a high-end site with state-of-the-art building services infrastructure.
You’ll be working on a continental shift pattern (days and nights, 6am-6pm), ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all critical building systems and environmental conditions at optimal levels.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including UPS, LV, generators, and HVAC systems.
- Monitor and adjust systems via the Building Management System (BMS).
- Manage and oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Operate the Permit to Work system in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation through the site’s CAFM/CBMS system.
- Ensure plant rooms are secure, clean, and comply with H&S standards.
- Proactively contribute to system and process improvements on site.
About You:
- Electrical or Mechanical Background and Qualifications
- Able to fault-find and resolve issues using graphical and alarm data.
- Strong awareness of H&S and compliance.
- Comfortable working continental shifts (days & nights, 6-6).
