* 7am – 7pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to join a leading FM provider, working on a prestigious critical site within Canary Wharf, London’s financial district.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work in a high-profile, business-critical environment with long-term stability and strong progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of a skilled on-site engineering team
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance
Ensuring all plant and building services operate efficiently within a critical environment
Completing and managing logbooks, permits, and statutory compliance
PPM tasks to include (but not limited to):
- Emergency lighting
- Fire alarm systems
- Lighting systems
- AHUs & FCUs
- Pumps, motors, and plant room inspections
- General building services maintenance

Requirements

Mechanical or Electrical qualifications (Level 3 preferred):

NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installations, Mechanical Engineering, or Plumbing OR
City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Electrical Installations, Mechanical Engineering, or Plumbing
