Job Summary
Options Resourcing Ltd are actively recruiting for two experienced Steel Fixers to assist on a current project down on the Devon dockyard in Plymouth, Devon.
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble iron and steel components in accordance with project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuver materials safely on site
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, welding, and shaping metal materials
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Steel Fixer or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold Preferred)
- Experience with welding techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with masonry work is an advantage
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) consistently throughout the day
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to ironwork
