£35000 – £40000 per annum dependant on experience + Vehicle /Car allowance + Fuel Card

Options Resourcing are working with a regional Civil Engineering and building contractor who work throughout South Wales and on occasion the South West. This opportunity will allow for the chosen applicant to work on a range of civils projects varying from infrastructure, energy to waste, highways, industrial and environmental.

The Role

As a Site Engineer you will undertake surveying, setting out and site supervision work while keeping records of all site activities. The work will be a mix of field-based work as well as QA reporting and CAD drafting.

A list of typical duties within the role are detailed below:

*Setting out to lines and levels to ensure construction of work in accordance with the Contract Drawings/Specifications or other relevant control documentation
*Preparation and maintenance of work record and data sheets and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with contract requirements
*Assisting Site Agents and Senior Engineers with general contract administration
*Maintaining contract management quality records as directed by Senior Engineers/Site Agents
*Production of As-Built Drawings in accordance with Client requirements
*Carrying out site surveys for weekly/monthly measurement purposes. Submission of processed information to Company Quantity Surveyors and Site Agents
*Assisting with the control of site activities, including sub-contractors, as directed by the Project Manager
*Compliance with individual responsibilities with regard to safety, health and environmental issues, as set out in the Group Safety, Health and Environmental Policy
*Completion of daily site diary
*Project a professional image
*Ability to work as part of a team and maintain client relations

The Person

*Experience of working on a variety of civil engineering projects
*Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering subject or a HNC in Civil Engineering
*Motivated by progressing into a Agent & Project Manager in the future
*Willing to eventually help with the training of a junior engineer
*CSCS Card
